     I spun around. "No one. " 
    "That's about the fifth time I've heard you talking to your house plant in the last two days." 
    "Five is an arithmetically very lucky number...", I mumbled, looking down.
    "Aly!" 
    "Besides, I wasn't talking to the house plant." 
    "Then who?" 
    "The only intellectual in the room, obviously. " 
    "We're the only two people here. " 
    "Well, yeah."
