15 parts Ongoing A World Too Big
Story Description
Marcus has always lived in the shadow of a world too big for him.
In New York City, superheroes are more common than celebrities, and every week the skyline becomes the stage for another battle between legends. Spider-Man swings overhead, the Avengers make headlines, and the X-Men are debated like political figures. For Marcus, though, life is painfully ordinary-classes, late shifts at the bookstore, and navigating the push and pull between his loyal best friend Camilla and his prideful friend Jordan.
But everything begins to change the day Rogue, the untouchable mutant with the deadly touch, notices him in a crowd. Just one look-brief, fleeting-yet it plants a spark Marcus can't ignore.
As his friendships strain, his quiet life is pulled closer and closer into the orbit of heroes and villains. Soon, Marcus discovers that fate has chosen him for something more: powers of his own, a new identity to protect, and the chance to step out from the background of the Marvel Universe into its very center.
But being a hero in a world already overflowing with them isn't simple. Marcus must balance the thrill of newfound abilities with the weight of responsibility, all while navigating complicated feelings for Rogue-someone both dangerous and magnetic, and perhaps the only one who truly sees him.
This isn't just another superhero story.
It's about being ordinary in a world that demands the extraordinary-
and finding the courage to matter.
