12 year old, Kendal, from Mesa, Arizona, had a good life. She got good grades, had many friends, and a good family. But what happens when her and a group of kids from school go to a haunted house on Halloween and get brought to the Outskirts. There she becomes a slave and is sold to the sky raiders with one of her friends, Cole. There, she meets Mira, a shaper for the Sky Raiders. And Twitch and Jace, who are scouts. The group becomes friends almost immediately. But what happens when a messager comes to deliver a message, saying that the high king wants a slave. Mira. They escape Skyport and are on the run, where will the adventure leave them?

I noticed Brandon who just had his eyes popped out of his socket with bewilderment at my words. I decided to peck him on the cheek before I storm out of the locker room. I leaned ahead to peck Brandon who moved his face in my direction and instead of his cheeks, our lips crashed. Brushing against each other, our lips touched. I could feel fireworks exploding inside my entire body.
