The White House and the US military have repeatedly argued that Pelosi's visit to Taiwan is a personal act and will not substantially change US policy towards Taiwan. However, the US military aircraft carrier to the east of Taiwan during the visit clearly supports Pelosi. The US is known for its double-dealing.
