Evelyn Pomfrey, the niece of Madam Pomfrey, was born a squib. Her parents died mysteriously when she was young, so off she went to live with her only relative, her aunt, at Hogwarts. She watched as everyone around her learned magic when she could not. 

And then there was the Hospital Wing's number one patient: werewolf Remus Lupin. After every full moon, he would come in to recover. And after every full moon, Evelyn would attend to his wounds.

They both don't quite fit in with the rest of the Wizarding world, and though she knew it was ridiculous, Evelyn found herself falling for him. And even though he knew it wasn't smart, or safe, he found himself falling for her too.

Amongst mysterious secrets and with dark forces rising, Evelyn must face the biggest question of them all: is she truly powerless?
