"Light me," the girl spoke, her lips glistening with a seductive sheen.
Without hesitation, Hyunjin obeyed, igniting the tip of the cigarette that was nestled between her sultry lips. The flame danced in the darkness, casting an alluring glow on the girl's face as she took a deep drag, exhaling a cloud of smoke that hung in the air like a tantalizing mist.
As she glared at the man next to her, she couldn't help but let out a frustrated sigh. "Seriously, why do you have to be so damn annoying? I've told you time and time again that I don't do friends, yet you keep hovering around me like a lost puppy."
But instead of getting defensive or backing off, Hyunjin simply smiled back at her with a calm demeanor. It was clear that he wasn't going to give up on her, no matter how much she pushed him away. And after all these months of being by her side, he was finally ready to be honest with her.
"Because I like you, Cherry."
The boy's words made Cherry burst out laughing. She's no stranger to flings and hookups, but when it comes to emotions, she's a tough nut to crack. Death doesn't even faze her anymore, she's too busy living life on her own terms.
So even though she was still annoyed, there was a small part of her that couldn't help but feel a little bit touched by his unwavering loyalty. Maybe, just maybe, she could learn to let him in after all.
