Does anger cause damage? If Georgia Ellenburg still believed in coincidences, she'd disagree. But George knows better. People get hurt around her, and now that her sister doesn't want to go to a college--a dream George gave up so that it could belong to Maeve--George is forced to stare down her past, and, in the meantime, protect her budding relationship with Sam, who she knows her anger will harm if given the chance.

Since having assumed guardianship over her sister, George has one goal: to keep Maeve safe, and, at twenty-four, she's done so by creating a life with minimal unpredictability. In her efforts, George has given up nearly everything so that her sister can have the life that was supposed to belong to George. Maeve, however, expresses other ideas, ideas that don't involve college or anything that George gave up for her sister, which pits George against the choices she's made and the anger she's buried because of them.

George has a secret, a secret that can no longer be considered a coincidence, and when Sam enters her life and begins to chip away at the pain she thought she'd let go, she must face the ultimate test of unpredictability: either confront her past or risk hurting Sam. Because her anger always hurts those around her.

Maeve's ability to touch others' souls can be heartbreaking and confusing, but when she connects with two murderers, it turns her world upside down. Are they still killers if they only kill monsters? What starts as a random attack on the street stopped by two strangers quickly escalates as Maeve discovers her attackers were demons. Thrusting her into their violent world, Maeve struggles to hold on to her humanity, making choices she never believed she would have to make. Disturbed but drawn to each of them. Will's bestial nature calls to her one moment and rejects her the next. While a powerful attachment to Ander's gentle soul comforts her, but every time they connect, she feels his darkness just below the surface. Will's entire life has been a war against monsters, alongside his best-friend Ander. Honor bound by duty, he is brutal, relentless, and uncompromising in his mission to protect the masses. He didn't understand how much his world would change after saving Maeve, or how she would shatter his convictions. Ander may have magical talents but in his mind, nothing will redeem him from the abomination he is. Bound by more than shed blood, Will, his adopted brother, and only friend. Together they seek and destroy aberrations that poison the world. Until Maeve touched his hand, there was nothing else but the mission. With her, Ander could see a different side of himself, a different life. This is a character driven story written from the 3 main characters POV's. It's a mature adult dark romance & contains dubious triggering situations that some might find offensive. If you want an instant, fearless heroine, Maeve won't be it. Her story is discovering who she is & what power love can bring versus kicking monsters asses. Power & money aren't the only things that make the world turn & those that wield the greatest power control destiny. If you're looking for heroes, Will & Ander are NOT it. If you're drawn to tortured villainous souls, you'll enjoy their saga.

UPDATED WEEKLY He finally released my legs, allowing me to slide down his body until my feet hit the floor, but that was as far as he let me go. Heat was radiating off him scorching me all the way down my spine as he held me tightly against him. His quick breaths were falling on the back of my neck with a tingling warmth that brought goosebumps to the surface of my skin. Placing one large hand on my shoulder, he wrapped my long brown hair around his other. Gently, he tugged on my dark mane, pulling my head to the side and exposing the tender column of my neck. Bringing his nose down to the crook there, he inhaled deeply, a rumbling "mmmm" escaping his lips. My mouth went dry. "Are-" I swallowed. "Are you going to mark me?" I manage in a stuttered whisper. - "God Blake, you're a true enigma" Her eyes widened slightly at his words. "I don't understand" she claimed, backing up a step from him, which he had clearly noticed. And to her shock, he took a step forward, blocking the gap she had just created. "You seriously don't see what I was trying to do up there?!" he asked, almost in disbelief. "Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting to do that?!" she couldn't believe how loud he was suddenly. She had always known Lucian as a calm person with a soft, almost brooding voice that he never raised. Now it almost sounded excited, it was interesting seeing a new side of Lucian Black. - Something is happening at Cross Climb High-school Although it seems fairly normal, students going amongst their days unbeknownst to who they travel life beside. Blake Collins was forced to move schools, along with her four best friends. With her mother dead and her father in prison for attempting to murder her brother, she's in foster care, struggling every day with panic attacks and obsessive thoughts from a past of psychological damage. In her new school, she deals with not only her constant daily struggle to maintain normalcy, but also somehow becoming the director of the school play. Add a crush on the school's bad boy, Zac, who seems more interested in Stella, Blake's promiscuous best friend and also contending with another one of the school's popular boys, Lucian, chasing her constantly despite firmly keeping up her barriers. Everything seems fairly normal, at least at first. But, brewing nearby is a rage so intense that it's about to bubble over, and when strange things start happening around her, Blake can't help but fear the worst events will unfold and hope that it won't take the lives of those she loves along with her own. Be careful, because you never know what people are really thinking. - *Warning* Swear words, violence, thoughts of self harm, and spelling mistakes that I need to fix and I swear I will.

"Whoever coined the term 'love' as a sign of endearment was an absolute idiot, and I mean that in the most polite way possible." Julia, like most seniors, is somewhat ready to face the final year of high school before she plans on achieving one of her two goals; to pursue her dreams in the field of journalism. The other dream, you ask? The one she's dead set on crumbling up and throwing aside? To experience romance worth the songs, the stories, and the sonnets. So, transferring to a new high school a year before passing out seems too short to want to live and love, but, unfortunately, fate has other plans in store. And the plan involves one sun-eyed boy with hopes bigger and beyond the world, and every intention to crash into a certain eager, future journalism student's life and break her walls. "Nobody focuses on the story anymore. It's always the beginning and the conclusion. The depth is all in the middle - the body, the 'long-ass narratives'." "Is it, now? Oh please, pray tell?" "Sure, you have your hope and destiny, but what about everything else in between?" "Like these small moments where I tell you how much reading helps me fall asleep? Or the moments where you punch my arm in return?"
