Kaeya is a 12 year old boy who is being taken care of by his big brother, Diluc, in Mondstat. He dreams of becoming a Favonious Knight, but his brother forbids him from going anywhere near any knights willingly to ask them everything. The only person he managed to hang around with is Klee, a girl a few years younger than him, that lives with the knights.

He lives a boring life until a strange traveler comes and defends them from Stormterror. He wants to learn everything about this traveler and maybe become something amazing to make his big brother proud!

This story has two POVs: Past and present. Past is indicated by italics, and present is indicated by default.
