Two sisters from a farm in Kansas are living their everyday lives and just trying to survive as two women in 1940s America. Kara the younger of the two sisters is a fiery hot-headed 20-year-old who often ends up dragging her older sister Alex into her shenanigans. 

When a recruiter shows up to their baseball game their world could turn upside down and they have to make the decision between what their hearts want and what society wants.
