A Revenge So Bittersweet

Lyra's sister is living every girl's dream. She has the prince, and by the end of the day she'll have a kingdom and a crown, until the unthinkable happens. A bloody coup the night of the wedding leaves her sister dead, as well as the rest of the royal family, with a usurper wearing the crown instead. When her brother refuses to bend the knee to their sister's murderer, he's imprisoned and almost certain to die, so Lyra makes a binding blood oath with the new king in exchange for her brother's life and to circumvent a brewing civil war.
