Four teens in a dystopian world are told their town is the only one, but as lies unravel and the truth is revealed they are thrown into a much bigger, much scarier world than they could have ever imagined. They must band together and find allies to help defeat an unknown evil... or find themselves face to face with a fate worse than death.
This story is basically all about found family and the tensions between different people in a fight for power and peace.

I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models. No one holds on to dreams for long in a place like this. You get placed here and you are as good as forgotten. Except when a couple shows up looking as out of place as an astronaut in a gold mine or a miner in space whichever one you prefer. This couple comes and shakes things up.
