On every witch and wizard's 16th birthday a soul mark is placed on their skin to show who their soulmates are but ever since the war started soul marks are becoming less and less. Meaning the chance of having magic bonds with someone is dimming causing havoc in the wizarding world.
Rumor spread that the muggles are the cause for the lack of marks creating a bigger drift in the war.

Iris has always enjoyed being alone only keeping a few people close she has learned it's better to be alone than face the consequences of what would come.

Now turning 16 tomorrow she knows she is unlikely to have a mark after all she spent her whole life being told she deserves no one.
What happens when she wakes up with three?

"It's just you," she sighed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joanna Potter has always been in the shadow of her older brother and his friends, but when she befriends both of the Black brothers it's more than she bargained for. At Hogwarts, the war seemed far away, but she gets pulled right into the middle of it with a huge betrayal from one of them. Has Jo been placing her trust in the wrong person or is there more they aren't letting on?
