When I first took a look into Azur Lane - I immediately saw a glaring issue with the universe. How do Siren Jets, (which appear to be supersonic and have pretty advanced guided munitions) manage to get their asses beat on a consistent basis by World War 2 fighters?
So I went ahead and fixed it, making it feel a little more... Real
In this little AU, things are just a little more brutal on the Ship-ladies' side, and the United States Air Force has to intervene.

Azur Lane | Blood Stained Iron | Male Ship X Azur Lane
The Azur Lane Alliance, a powerful force created in the first world war and expanded upon with the intentions of fighting the Sirens as one, while at the same time preventing another large-scale war like the great war from coming about again, via gathering all the major powers under one flag. But like all good things, it doesn't last forever, and due to differing options, ideals, and repeated acts on both sides to contradict and hurt the other via diplomatic channels. The alliance begins to shift, and finally the cracks became a split! This split brought about the return of war! Full scale, large scale! The two warring factions in question, was Azur Lane, and Red Axis. Azur Lanes primary fighters being Eagle Union, Iris Orthodoxy and Royal Navy. For Red Axis, the main contenders being Iron Blood, Sardegna Empire & Sakura Empire! Ships of the Sakura Empire struck Eagle Union ships by surprised not long ago, and this action dragged the Eagle Union into the conflict without giving them a choice to ignore or try and stay out of the out-of-control flames, we call war. Meanwhile, the Iron Blood slipped into Royal navy-controlled waters, and a scuffle between the two countries flag ships was set into motion, that ultimately ended with the Royal Navys Flag Ship HMS Hood sent to the bottom of the sea. News of her death would send shockwaves across the WORLD! That would be FELT across the lands, oceans and mountains by all.

Humanity had a dream to Explore and conquer the oceans , But that all changed when an unknown enemy appeared known as the "Sirens" humans were pushed out of the Seas by the Sirens advanced weaponry and humanity began to descend into a Dark age. Siren attacks had become frequent enough that humans were on the Brink of annihilation. However one Day humanity found a way to fight back against the other worldly threats, using mysterious objects known as wisdom cubes, the K.A.N.S.E.N. were created from said cubes. With the power of Warships embedded into their bodies, they allowed humanity to fight Back against the Sirens and begin to reclaim what was once lost. But divisions in beliefs on how to deal with the Sirens, threaten to obscure the original threat they came together to fight and turn humanity and its protectors against each other, either caused by Siren influence or the actions and beliefs of major nations leaders, or a little bit of both, one thing is for certain. No matter when or where it happens.... War, War never changes. However sometimes all it takes is a small change somewhere, a Flap of the wings of a butterfly, an Action taken, or an Action not taken. The Smallest changes can Alter how history will play out. The Bigger question I would like to Ask... What will be the catalyst that starts the winds of Change THIS time? Hornet waited and waited until she found out her countries downfall, she fell into despair as she thinks both of her sister's were already dead she didn't even get an chance to know and meet them, that all changed until an Woman wearing an Black Coat and hat gave her a chance for a reason to live (I don't own Azur lane It belongs to it's rightful owner and what's only mine here was the Watcher Force and the plot) (And I might borrow some characters from The Man Of the High Castle)Complete

Until one day the eight soldiers were killed by a siren humanity thought has they have lost but the higher ups agreed to turn the eight of them into ships. Azur Lane: The Last Task Force
Ever since that fateful day, when the long bloody war between the Sirens and Azur Lane ended, with Azur Lane being the victor. The Sirens remained quiet for many decades. Until recently, we learned that they achieved something no one thought was possible. They created a timeline teleportation device. Commonly known as a "time jumper". A device that allows the impossible to become possible, time travel. We believe they intend to go back in time to the middle of the war they lost, taking advanced tech along with them, to change the future of humanity in their favor. So we at Eagle Union have been working hard to counter this new issue. After working relentlessly, struggling to create a piece of technology many generations ahead of our current time. We have finally created our own time jumper, capable of simultaneously sending multiple warships back in time. We will be sending one carrier, one cruiser, and three destroyers to complete this sensitive task. The task of preventing the Sirens from erasing the existence of humanity. Those warships will be: USS Gerald R. Ford, USS Ticonderoga, USS John Paul Jones, USS Arleigh Burke, and USS Sampson. Azur Lane: A rescue cruiser gone astray
Well... this may sound stupid, but... With the intensity of the Siren War, the need for dedicated repair ships slowly became a necessity. Unfortunately, due to the rather egocentric and superior complex attitude, the researchers and scientists vehemently refused the Admiralty's request to even have plans for a repair ship Kansen, let alone a ship able to extinguish fires. Seeing the absurdity, the Sirens decided to intervene in this stupid mess and just rip an German repair ship from their homeworld and send it to this world to help the problems Ironblood has (if we want to believe the Siren sources and how much Observer sweat beads down her face as she said it face-to-face).
