When I first took a look into Azur Lane - I immediately saw a glaring issue with the universe. How do Siren Jets, (which appear to be supersonic and have pretty advanced guided munitions) manage to get their asses beat on a consistent basis by World War 2 fighters?
So I went ahead and fixed it, making it feel a little more... Real
In this little AU, things are just a little more brutal on the Ship-ladies' side, and the United States Air Force has to intervene.

The Azur Lane Alliance, a powerful force created in the first world war and expanded upon with the intentions of fighting the Sirens as one, while at the same time preventing another large-scale war like the great war from coming about again, via gathering all the major powers under one flag. But like all good things, it doesn't last forever, and due to differing options, ideals, and repeated acts on both sides to contradict and hurt the other via diplomatic channels. The alliance begins to shift, and finally the cracks became a split! This split brought about the return of war! Full scale, large scale! The two warring factions in question, was Azur Lane, and Red Axis. Azur Lanes primary fighters being Eagle Union, Iris Orthodoxy and Royal Navy. For Red Axis, the main contenders being Iron Blood, Sardegna Empire & Sakura Empire! Ships of the Sakura Empire struck Eagle Union ships by surprised not long ago, and this action dragged the Eagle Union into the conflict without giving them a choice to ignore or try and stay out of the out-of-control flames, we call war. Ever since that fateful day, when the long bloody war between the Sirens and Azur Lane ended, with Azur Lane being the victor. The Sirens remained quiet for many decades. Until recently, we learned that they achieved something no one thought was possible. They created a timeline teleportation device. Commonly known as a "time jumper". A device that allows the impossible to become possible, time travel. We believe they intend to go back in time to the middle of the war they lost, taking advanced tech along with them, to change the future of humanity in their favor. So we at Eagle Union have been working hard to counter this new issue. After working relentlessly, struggling to create a piece of technology many generations ahead of our current time. We have finally created our own time jumper, capable of simultaneously sending multiple warships back in time. We will be sending one carrier, one cruiser, and three destroyers to complete this sensitive task. The task of preventing the Sirens from erasing the existence of humanity. Those warships will be: USS Gerald R. Ford, USS Ticonderoga, USS John Paul Jones, USS Arleigh Burke, and USS Sampson.
