The rain poured from the sky, making Laurel's long, dark hair drenched and the ground slick with mud. The forrest added no cover from the storm she found herself sprinting through. The once beautiful Isle of Skye and their village of Frìth far behind her, she carried on with a scowl etched onto her face. She had no idea how she ended up out here, at night, in the rain.

All Laurel knew was this was not ordinary. This was not what was supposed to be happening. Mother Miera had all but given her the answers she was seeking about The Veil and the boy who could see through it. In her hand, she clutched the book that held all the answers she had poured over the last few hours.

Laurel recalled the folktales that Mother Miera used to tell her and her sisters. About the boy with eyes the color of moss and hair with ringlets. About how he would be the one to bridge the two worlds. Bring peace. Never in a million years would she think that those folktales were prophetic in nature.

Laurel cursed her naivety. Goddess, how could she have been so careless? As she raced through the forest, she hoped she would make it to the Edge where she had met the boy so many times before.

Now, she could only hope the boy would be up for a quest like no other to save the Village Fríth and her Father's kingdom.

The villagers whisper of an ancient witch, who disappeared years ago, as the cause of their suffering. Desperate to end the curse and restore her homeland, Elara decides to take a bold step: she flees her village in search of the missing witch, hoping to uncover the truth and save everything she holds dear. Her journey takes her through dark, enchanted forests, treacherous mountains, and forgotten ruins, where she encounters creatures both wondrous and terrifying. Along the way, Elara learns that the witch was not a figure of evil, but a guardian of powerful magic, one whose disappearance has set a chain of events in motion that only she can reverse. As Elara uncovers long-buried secrets, she begins to realize that her own connection to the witch may be deeper than she ever imagined. She must navigate betrayal, unearth her hidden powers, and ultimately confront the darkness threatening her world. [COMPLETED] I was cursed at such a young age, abandoned by my own wolf and the Moon Goddess for something that wasn't in my control. I don't even think having a mate is in the cards for me... ✨🌘✨ I jumped when the final horn sounded, circling the garden before everyone became silent. They all returned to their seats, my father rising from his chair as I stood from my seat along with the other pups. I struggled to breath as we took our position, standing in the centre away from everyone else. My father offered me a reassuring glance though it did nothing to ease my anxiety, all I had to do now was wait. My eyes widened when the moons blue light shined down on me, illuminating my skin as I stared up at the sky in awe. "We thank the moon goddess for the power of her light..." I dropped my gaze back down, my fathers words surrounding us, "...Shall it bathe you and grant you strength, agility, speed like the wolf..." The pups around me began to moan in pain, capturing my attention as I furrowed my brows. Their features were all contorted by an invisible pain that inflicted them but I felt absolutely nothing. My heart raced when their groans of pain became screams but I- I suddenly drop to the ground, a painful throbbing in my head forcing me to the ground. I grip the sides of my head, screaming. I don't know how to explain it but it felt as though my brain was tearing in two, like my head was cracking open. When the pain stopped, I found myself surrounded by wolves, the shifted pups. Looking down at myself, I only see my body, no paws and no fur. I hadn't shifted... ✨🌕✨ Book 2* 'The Wolven King' is the first book and must be read in order to understand this one. ⚠️ WARNING!! This book is mature and should only be read if you are 18+. There are depictions of violence, mature language, sexual behaviour and sexual abuse.

"Let them go, Dante." I whip my head to see a small boy standing the clearing with blonde hair and a green cloak hanging from shoulders. He isn't very tall however he holds his stance well. He doesn't seem to be more than Cassandra's age. Maybe 12 at most. I abruptly turn my head back hearing the man holding a sword to my throat chuckling with a sinister grin. "Oh, poor boy, what are you go to do about it?" The yellow teeth gleam as he begins stalking towards the boy who does not look the least bit fazed. I look around at the other men who are following the leader. I pull Cassandra tighter to my back as I take small steps back. I keep my eye trained on the men but also fear for the naive boy. "Do you really want to test me Dante?" He asks raising a single eyebrow. For a minute the men stop their movements. I see their hesitation for fear... Fear of what? I take the moment to stick Cassandra behind a nearby tree. She crouches down while I pull my sword out from its place. "How do you know my name?" The scoundrel raises his sword challenging towards the boy before taking a final step towards him. Then the unexpected happens. The young boy chuckles so darkly. It sounded almost... demonic. All the men instinctively raise their swords. "Oh Dante, I didn't know your name... but you know someone dear to me." "Spit it out boy!" The once grinning man is now looking around frantically. I continue my eyes scanning the small boy. He looks directly me and gives me a small nod before saying one word that caused all hell to breaks loose. "Artemis." Artemis is not an ordinary girl. She grew up in the wilderness after being shunned due to unique abilities and her different physical attributes. Blessed with an ability that scared others, she roams the wild with only her guarded one. That is until she stumbles into a situation that brings her in front of a prince.
