"Criminal Detective" follows the story of Claire Williams, a former detective who served time in jail for her involvement in money laundering for Benson Adkins, the manager of the girl band ChickLit. Determined to turn her life around and make amends for her past mistakes, Claire tries to piece her life back together. However, her past comes back to haunt her as Roberto Gonzales, a powerful mafia leader and previous victim of Claire's illegal activities, arrives with a proposition. When a member of the ChickLit band is pronounced dead, Roberto suspects foul play and enlists Claire's help to investigate the death and take down Adkins, pay all the money she laundered, or lastly, die. With no other choice, Claire must navigate a dangerous world of crime and deceit as she tries to stay alive and help Roberto settle his score with Adkins.
