Clementine Juniper Abbott has lived her whole life in a beach-town on the east coast, watching as the weekend warriors live wild lives while safely on the sidelines.

Clem's Dad has been a single dad his whole life, knowing only one other thing just as long - the Salty Dog. Clem has spent every weekend and school holiday there since before she could remember.

As far as Clem is concerned, her life is as content as it can possibly be; she's got her photography, her crappy jeep, her family at the Salty Dog, and her best friend all on her own little island.

This summer though, Clem and Meesh vowed they would have a summer to remember.

Que Harry, a charming, witty, newcomer to the island who seems like he's just passing time before he passes through, like most who come to SeaPort. His arrival stirs the local gossip mill and before she knows it, everyone on the island is talking about the curly-headed Casanova with one foot already out of SeaPort's door. Clem finds out though, just how stuck with him she might be.

When Clem's dad hires Harry as the new bartender, he quickly becomes part of the Salty Dog's small family, and Clem's dad tasks her with making sure he feels at home.

Clem was expecting to embarrass herself, expecting to endure her own awkwardness, but what she wasn't expecting while trying to make Harry feel at home, was for Harry to make her feel at home instead.
