In a region that regained peace after its royalty's fall, Xerneas and Yveltal appointed the Paladin and the Reaper respectively with the hopes that they will help in keeping order. A Pokémon XY protagonist-centric Fantasy AU Fanfiction.
Serena, having recently moved to Vaniville Town, did not expect to be chosen by Yveltal to take the place of the former Reaper, Lysandre. One day, she comes across the also newly-appointed Paladin, the bearer of Xerneas's power. She and the Paladin work together to learn the ways of their duty, but challenges await them as the former Reaper's organization plots in the shadows.
Mainly features Serena and Calem and includes Kalosshipping (Calem/Serena). May include other ships as it continues.
Content warnings: The story includes death, heavy injuries, and animal harm and death, and grief.

Now having to try and get Ash to be himself to be ready for the Kalos League causes her emotional pain and sometimes even physical. Ash has to find himself during his journey in order to be able to take on everything in his way, from his best friend Calem to his Arch Rival Damian... To even his own father. Half Ash and half Alain in the character of Ash Ketchum, there will be a good combination between battle styles and a good amount of combinations between overall personality and maturity.
