The time is present day and the place is good old Brooklyn, New York City. With the recent chaos threatening the Clave and all of it stemming from the New York Institute, the young Shadowhunters of New York are under twice as much pressure to uphold their reputations, especially since they have new Shadowhunters entering... But whose side are these newcomers on? Keeping up appearances is harder than it looks, but looks can be deceiving. Especially with untold secrets, the dark whispers of rebellion with a touch of war, forbidden romances, and the storms of change blowing on an ancient society that doesn't welcome it at all. Will the New York Institute survive the blooming darkness within its own walls or will the entire city's Downworld existence crumble from within? Or will a lullaby of shadows seduce the bright future and turn it dark? Only Fate can tell. But blood and tears will be shed, either way. There is no room for hopes and dreams in a world where demons dwell…
