The Carader brought people to their fate... but she never expected her fate would reside in a forest God.

Meridia of Renshir grew up hearing of the spirits and Gods that inhabited the forest around her town. Most specifically, the Gods that ruled the mountain - the Amera, shapeshifting creatures that rarely ever showed their true form to anyone. That is, until the Carader, bringers of fate, bring Meridia to Sana, an Amera with a thirst for adventure. After Meridia gives an offering to the God, Sana takes her on adventures around the mountainside, where they grow closer and closer.

Then everything changes for the worst.

Declaration of war from the royal capital of Uphir against the eastern village of Yeuri is drawing suspicious people into Meridia's village. And these men, bloodthirsty and greedy, have their eye on the girl who has made contact with the God. To save the one she loves, Meridia has to have something she has never had in her entire life: Courage.
