Her brother Sam has always been cold-shouldered and rude towards her, only being around 4 years her senior, so when the recruiter made his very rare trip to La Push at the end of her senior year she leaped at the opportunity. Enlisting at the ripe age of 18, she escaped the coastal town and quickly rose in the ranks. Her life had finally changed for the better. Until one day she came across someone, no-something-that changed her.

After Edward leaves Bella and she becomes broken, Charlie prefers that I go with her to most places. That also includes when she went to check if Jacob was ok after he ignored her, and he turns into a wolf. She would drive them to school, go work out at the gym, come home and get a shower and some food, and then go work at the local bakery in town. Jacob and his friends would go to the bakery everyday after school and stay there until she got off work, for her to drive them back home and hang out for a while longer. After six months, Sophia learns her sister is coming to Forks to stay with their father. Sophia becomes infuriated, all because her sister is coming back. She almost instantly learns about Jacob having a thing for Bella, which pisses her off even more.
