Mirjam didn't talk much. She didn't talk at all, really. She didn't want to learn sign language, nor did she want to explain why.
Yet she wrote in a little notebook in order to comunicate, and even though her writing felt kind of pedantic at times, for the unnecessarily complicated words she frequently used; I thought it was wonderful. She didn't speak, yet I felt like I understood her more than I ever understood myself.
And even now, as she lays sprawled on the street's pavement, a pool of blood reeking out of her body, I think she understands me more than anyone ever will.
And I think I understand her, too. I understand her dying pain. I understand her agony.
And I know I will carry this limitless understanding until the end of times.
As the cars huddle around us, as the sirens screech and everyone runs to help as if it would even make a difference, I think she understands me too.

"The Last Song of the Siren" de AngheJB
11 Partes Continúa
The first time Camila heard the song, she thought it was a trick of the current. A soft, haunting melody drifted through the water, threading through the coral like a whisper. She adjusted her mask, exhaling slowly, the sound of her own breath too loud in the stillness. Then it came again-low, aching, impossibly beautiful. Her pulse quickened. She had spent years chasing this sound, following reports from fishermen and myths from island elders who spoke of a voice that called only to the lonely, the lost. A siren, they said, but not the kind who lured sailors to their doom. This one sang only for one person. And somehow, impossibly, it was singing for her. Camila followed the sound, pushing through the water, her flashlight beam cutting through the darkness. Then, she saw movement. Not a fish, not a shadow, but something else entirely. A woman. She hovered just beyond the reef, golden eyes catching the light. Her hair swayed like seaweed, her skin shimmered in shades of blue and silver. She should have been impossible. Camila's lungs burned, but she couldn't look away. The woman lifted a hand, fingers curling in invitation. And then, just as Camila's vision blurred, she felt arms around her, pulling her upward. Breaking the surface, gasping for air, she blinked against the salt spray. For a moment, she thought she had imagined it all. But the song still echoed in her ears. And when she looked back down into the deep, those golden eyes were still watching.

The seduction dripped off of her tongue, just like I desired to be, her low voice entrancing me with the dangerously sadistic melodies of a siren song, with the most terribly sinful lyrics. "I could kill you right now, Angel." She inched closer towards me, "right here," her eyes raking over my body, sizing me up, slowly. The lustful grey in them soon lifting back up, intimidating mine. Her harsh words screamed murderous intent but the look in her eyes whispered otherwise. I couldn't tell whether my breath hitched at her cruel threat, or the yearning pulse between my... She interrupted my stream of consciousness, poisoning it with every still second, keeping her gaze on mine with her sinful hand that reached out to caress the bruised side of my neck. "But I have something else in mind." ══════════════════ She killed him. Everyone knows it. Why'd she do it? Nobody knows. All that matters is that they can't prove it. And even if they could, they wouldn't dare to do, or say anything about it. She was dangerous, merciless and heartless. And now, she's boss. There's only so many people who kill their way to the top, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑎𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑖𝑡. I guess there are just a few certain things people would 𝑘𝑖𝑙𝑙 for...whether it's power, seduction, or 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒. Angeline Kelleher, her new secretary, the only one to confront her about her calloused ways of replacing the previous mafia boss after his mysterious death. Unfortunately for Angeline, resisting the sexual temptation of the devil is not an easy sport. And resisting falling inlove may be even harder, especially with someone who she wasn't sure was even capable of such a feeling... Hopefully 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 angel doesn't fall and break her wings. Ages 14+ (lesbian concepts and some profanity) This is not your everyday love story, okay? It's not a chick flick either. The events and themes within my pages have meaning, depth, truth-and most of all, reality. You are about to be taken on an adventure about a girl who's life is not like everybody else's. I look like a normal teen girl, I mean, I have hair and two eyes and two hands and feet like everybody else, but I couldn't feel more different. I have two moms, yes. Let's just get that out there before you start reading and close my diary like everyone in my life has shut me out of theirs. All I want is a normal life with normal friends who don't judge me because of my home situation. I don't even remember the last time I went on a sleepover or called somebody my age. I don't mean to be a downer, because it does get better. Life gets better. Struggles are only temporary, I know that now. And by my last words reach your eyes, I've come a long way, and have grown to see potential in myself. I'm sharing this with you because I want to make a difference. I know now that I'm not the only one in the world that feels alone. I've been there, done that, and there's more loneliness to come, but for now, I feel more prepared for it. I know how it feels to sit by yourself at lunch every day and how it feels to watch others go to prom with dates and feel like shit because you don't think you'd even have any friends to go with. Please ready my diary. I am much older now, and much more wiser, and I can't wait for you to realize the potential in yourself, too.

Put your earphones on because this is going to be one hell of a ride! Every single poem in here is associated with a specific song, memory or person, so I will do my best to guide you through it and the complicated tangle of emotions that are my teen years. Warning: there's gonna be a whole lot of soppy pieces as well as super dark ones, so if both of them aren't your taste, then oh well! With that being said I have one last thing to say to you: Enjoy!
