A shadow portal drops a Monkie, Chris - better known as Shadow - into the middle of dire circumstances. The Lady Bone Demon has taken control, Mei has run away, and Wukong is nowhere to be found. The only option Shadow has is to turn to his brother; the Six-Eared Macaque. But even he seems to be trying to fight his own battles. What kind of mess has Shadow been thrown into now?

Chris is my Monkie Kid OC. The main name he goes by is Shadow, due to his similar powers to Macaque, his brother. There are a few things to know about Shadow, available in the first chapter, which is an author's note (A/N).

This is my first time writing a fan fiction in the Monkie Kid universe, so bare with me if I make any mistakes on the character's behavior!

The story takes place after Season Two, spoilers ahead.

On the verge of death, Sun Wukong is worried for his ex-best friend.

Without thinking, you picked it up and felt a surge of power through you, and that's when you met Macaque. He looked almost like Monkey King, but with black fur. He saw the staff in your hands and explained to you that only he could pick it up, but when he saw you holding it, he decided to take you under his wing, and make you his successor. So from that point, you trained to be a warrior and fought demons along with your brother. A/n-The reader has the exact same powers Macaque has, like aquatic breathing, enhanced hearing, Shadow Manipulation, Shadow Cloning, Shadow Monkeys, Shadow Transportation, Shadow Hiding, Smoke Generation, and shape-shifting.
