This Epic Poem is about the pandemic as much as it is about Aspen. It focuses on her experience of being sent home from college exacerbating her anxiety and depression. It does not help that she has a creature who latched onto her when she was born.

Purposefully Accidental: The Interlude
I'd dreamed of weddings before, in my youth; and in every scenario, I had always thought it to be the happiest day in my life: surrounded by my closest friends and family and laughing in my gorgeous white dress with flowers in my hair. Not like this: nauseous from cancer-fighting chemicals and wearing a cheap thrifted dress that I'd worn to an orientation week party, my hair thinning and unkempt. Sleeping Beauty Syndrome
A pandemic threatens to wipe out the world's population. When more than 60% of the world's population has died, a vaccine is hastily developed and used without extensive testing. The vaccine may save the lives of the remaining 40%, but there is a 50/50 chance that it will put people into a coma and threaten them with never waking up again. Moreover, the vaccine is not enough for everyone. In the midst of this chaos and struggle for survival, Y/N, a stylist at KQ, has to watch friends die or fall into a coma. With only 3 remaining breathing members who stayed awake, a hope and fear begins that the 5 other guys can be saved. This story gets very emotional, my main writing tools are chocolate, tissues and pillows to hug.
