The country is also in the midst of going to war with rival countries over what appears to be nonsense. He decides to go to a friends house to unwind and play video games. Their relaxation quickly turns frantic when unexplained explosions rock the neighborhood. A phone call from his friends dad who is stationed on a military base turns weird when he demands for them to get down into a unfinished bunker for safety. After spending days inside, they emerge from the bunker and quickly find out that the world is a different place. It is evident that a war has started but, they can not listen to what so-called leaders of the world have told them. they find out they have to survive on their own, where it seems like it's every man for themselves. It is now a new world, an advanced sublunary. This is inception.

"Hey, who are you?" I could tell he wasn't trying to scare him off while still trying to establish the fact that we could hurt him if we wanted to. "I was gonna ask you the same question," he replied. "But since to beat me to it, I'm Eli. I'm just a seventeen-year-old kid out here alone. Y'all seem to be in the same situation." His southern accent was thick but definitely not South Carolinian. It sounded more like he was from Alabama or Mississippi. "True. For how long?" "Four weeks. I ran away because of...circumstances," he said, trailing off on the last word. "Prove to us you're not dangerous," Marcus threatened. "Prove to me you're not dangerous," Eli countered. "I don't even know your names." "Fine. I'm Marcus, that's Peyton, Luke, and Aaliyah," he answered, gesturing toward each of us as he spoke. I could tell he didn't trust the guy, but he seemed good enough. He hadn't said anything to make us distrust him, but he also hadn't said anything to make us trust him. "Look, dude, I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm looking for something a friend told me about a few weeks ago. She said there was a whole network of teens out here, but there's a camp somewhere in Florida that gives them a place to stay. Secret, of course, and run by teens, but anyway, it seems safer than being out here and living off the land." "Wait, you mean there are more of us?" I asked. ☁ Three teenagers find themselves rejected by their families after they're all unexpectedly outed on the same night. With the help of their friend, they head to the streets in search of freedom and acceptance. Along the way they meet another boy, and there's more to him then they could have ever guessed. Follow each of them as they discover who they are, who they love, and more of their country's secrets than they could ever dream of in a thrilling trilogy told from all five points of view.

Escaping from your past isn't easy, especially when you're just a puppet in the grand scheme of things. We were young, but we never had it easy. You could say we were lucky after escaping time and time again, but our fate always brought us back. Even now, we are not what we wanted, but who we were meant to be. It's in our blood, we have no choice. We were born into something much bigger than ourselves, something that we'll never be able to fully escape from. This may appear to be an ordinary cliché story, but all those clichés give us comfort. It means that maybe one day we will have our happy ending, but that has yet to come. A normal life is impossible to reach, we know that now. We were so naive to think we could create one on our own if at all. Every day we live in fear that they'd find us. Even after travelling so far to get away, they still haunt us in our mind. We are a nurse; a thief; a persuader; and an assistant; the only family we have and need. The future is uncertain, but there's no denying our past. This is the story of how we died.

It isn't the bad things you intended to do that come back to haunt you. It's the ones you never meant to happen, that you can't bear to take responsibility for, that fester and grow over the decades. All of us ended up with memory-erasing abilities which is one of the very few abilities that allows you to get out unnoticed." I blinked. Memory erasing? What the heck was she talking about? "Back up a second," I tried to keep my tone even and not let on to the whirlwind of emotions flaring up inside me. "How did you end up with magical abilities?" "They aren't magic dumbass," Micaiah scorned. "The whole reason they created the disease was survival of the fittest, as Skye mentioned. They're purposefully making the weak minorities sick to kill them off while they take the strongest young men and women to 'test' on, when really, they're just purposefully giving us the disease and then the cure. The cure is meant to 'over cure' us so to speak, as in make us stronger than we were before. We each end up with something slightly different." ☁ With Eli dead, it's back to the four of them. They set out to find the camp he'd mentioned, but they could have never imagined what it actually was. They've discovered national secrets that could kill them. With the help of another group of four ragged teenagers, they have to find a way to complete the impossible task of freeing the camp without losing their heads in the process. Follow each of them as they discover who they are, who they love, and more of their country's secrets than they could ever dream of in a thrilling trilogy told from all five points of view.

|| COMPLETED || I want to be ready for college, but I'll be leaving everything behind. I don't want to forget my mom, my friends, or the memories made. Then again, I want to move on, run away from the heart break following me. I want to be free, I need to be free. For everything that I know, college could be a restart for highschool. A time where I don't make mistakes or where bad things don't happen, but I know they will. Though focusing on the negative won't lead me anywhere. Sadly though, that's all I ever learned to focus on. Learning things about my family that disgust me, learning about family members I didn't even know existed. It's all new, like morphing into a new body, you have to learn how to control. Sadly I don't know how to control myself, I can't control my emotions. I want to be ready for college, I am. I'll be leaving everything behind, but I need to escape the pain. ☆☆ Disclaimer - Read my first book 'Reality Hits Hard' to understand this book before reading it. This book is also very childish looking back at it, but I hope you guys enjoy it!
