There wasn't really anything all that special about me. I considered myself an average person with average looks. That being said, I also considered myself a very gaunt person. I was sort of a nerd. Not like a big 'ooooh, look at him, with his glasses, pocket protector and retainer', I of course had never worn any of those things. I'm a quiet type of nerd . Quiet, as in my only friends were people who weren't exactly as bad off as me, but you know, they weren't the most popular either. One girl, Jade who I considered to be an overachieving busybody. She was always trying to improve her already perfect average self while meddling in other peoples business. I also had a guy friend named Alex. He was almost like me, which made us the perfect best friend. He was also pretty popular, even though he hung out with me. Neither Jade, nor Alex were terrible to look at. In fact, sometimes I wondered why they weren't even more popular than they were. Jade is a model, tall with long black hair a perfect body and nice sized tits. Alex is perfect. Perfect six pack, perfect biceps, perfect face..... I know what you're probably thinking right now. 'Talking about your best guy friend like that? Are you gay?' In the complicated jungle which we call high school one can find jocks, cheer leaders, Goths, nerds, athletes' etc. etc. and then there's me. Brittney Matthews. I would be described as the unimportant girl who keeps out of everyone's way and keeps to herself. It's not quite fun to be classified as 'unimportant' but its not hard to remove such status at West Point High. Make one mistake and you're scarred for the rest of your high school days. Thankfully graduations coming up and I'm almost done, but that's gona be a task when I'm failing the 'hated by all' Algebra I'm not the smartest of the bunch but I do well. It's not that I can't pass but the teacher teaching it; Mrs. Hastings, she's a real slug, she makes everything boring. Being the new girl, officially sucks. Being the new Goth girl, wholeheartedly sucks. Being the new Goth girl, with horrific baggage, truly sucks. At my old school, I was thought of as 'cool and quirky'. Here, I'm just the weird new girl - the weird new girl whose parents are divorcing. I get stared at. Whispered about. Socially ostracised. My life used to be pretty boring. Everything was average. Normal family, normal looks, normal house, normal job, normal life. The only non-boring aspect of my life was my best friend which was only because she always managed to mess it up somehow. I didn't really mind much because it kept things interesting.
