I wrote this poem while experiencing a depressive episode to cope with my worsening mental state. My mania throws my mind into pits of fear, hatred, worry, doubt, and a desire to leave this world. Our government (USA) is failing us and is corrupting its people. We have been lied to and still are; our prosperity and justice are marketed upon by those we voted as leaders. To oversaturate media and cover the eyes of our future with entertainment while we: the parents, aunts, and uncles, watch our democracy fail us. This nihilistic-style work will hopefully expose the state of our world in full, without dismissal or offenses. I only desire to express my heart and mind. Let this, then, speak to you.
