He wraps his arms around me, holding me close as everything spins out of control. Glitter bleeding out of his eyes, seeping and glistening beneath the orange lights.

"I feel like I'm in a dream. When will I wake up? I'll be okay once I wake up, right?"

"You won't wake up, Dev," he whispers into my ear. "You never fell asleep."
