Monsters in the Dark

They told me I was insane.

Locked me up, they did. Said I had lost it. But they didn't know the true horrors that I had encountered in the darkness.

No one did, no one but me.

What they said about how I was hallucinating, no, that wasn't true.

Because there really was a monster in the dark. They just couldn't see it.

And that's what terrifies them.
