In 2056, there was a war between America and China. Three years after the war started, America dropped a "super bomb" without thinking about the full severity of the consequences. The bomb destroyed nearly everything. Radioactivity formed monstrous beings. Those who survived live in constant fear of the unknown, and the known. 
Placed in present day Wisconsin, 17 year old Naomi Wilkins must learn to adapt and survive in the new world.
