In a village, by the sea, in a country known as Akeda...
   there was a girl named Alice. A fierce and careless girl who dreamed of becoming one of the heroes from her storybooks. Alice was the chief's daughter, although many villagers didn't think she deserved that "honor".  A chief's daughter should not spend her days swimming in the sea alongside the fish or climbing trees in her torn trousers. But most of all, chief's daughters should never ever ever even think about leaving the village.
   One fateful night, Alice overhears something that turns her entire life upside down: She discovers the truth about her mother and her heritage. Alice has the blood of a lost civilization running through her veins. Blood that would soon give the girl unnatural abilities, and strengthen her in ways she could never have imagined. Alice needs to get out! But when she begins her crazy journey to the Capital to follow her dreams, she will surely risk being discovered. Meeting Captain Ross and rakish Prince Noah only makes her life harder as she fall head over heels in love. What will Alice risk to follow her dreams and her heart?
