Disguised as a man and captured by ruthless pirates, debutante Octavia Palmer must find a stolen treasure to save her father from debtor's prison. But can she escape with her life--and her heart-- when the devilishly handsome Captain Charles Atwell knows her secret?

***
Desperate to save her father from death in a debtor's prison, Octavia Palmer disguises herself as a man and sets sail to search for her stolen treasure. But as the war of 1812 continues to rage, she is captured by the pirate captain Charles Atwell, a dangerously handsome drunk who discovers her hidden identity. If she doesn't convince him to help her find the treasure, Octavia knows he'll expose her and have her killed, or worse, sold to his favorite brothel.

Charles Atwell blames the world for the death of his beloved sisters. Forced into piracy by the bloody pirate Jean Lafitte, he awaits the day he can drink himself to death or die in battle. He discovers a young woman dressed as a man on a ship he captures, but before he can expose her identity, she reveals that she knows the truth about what happened to his sisters.

Battling through ghosts, swamp alligators, sea battles, and a dangerous attraction, Octavia and Charles reluctantly team up to steal her family's treasure from Lafitte. But when the British ask for Lafitte's help to defeat the Americans at New Orleans, their chances of seeing their families again goes up in gunpowder.

In the swashbuckling world of high seas and hidden treasures, Princess Alira Buckley stands out not only for her royal lineage but for her fierce spirit and daring heart. As the teenage daughter of the notorious pirate Captain Buckley, Alira has grown up with the wind in her hair and the thrill of adventure in her veins. But amidst the plunder and piracy, Alira harbors a secret that even the most skilled sailor would struggle to navigate. Her heart belongs to Prince Derrick of Treewood-a nobleman from a distant kingdom whose charm and kindness have stolen her breath away. Their worlds are as different as the ocean is from the forest, and her father's strict decree makes it clear: no princess of the sea is to fall for a landlocked prince. Captain Buckley demands that Alira's suitor must be a pirate, not a prince, and the idea of a romantic alliance with Derrick is dismissed outright. Undeterred by her father's stern warnings, Alira's yearning for Derrick only grows stronger. One moonlit night, under the cloak of darkness and with her father fast asleep, Alira makes a daring decision that could alter the course of her life forever. Disguised and determined, she slips away from her pirate ship and makes her way to the opulent palace of Treewood. As Alira and Derrick's clandestine meetings unfold amidst the grandeur of the palace, their bond deepens, revealing not only their shared love but the tensions between their disparate worlds. Together, they must navigate the challenges of their secret romance while Alira grapples with her father's expectations and her own desire for a love that defies tradition. In The Pirate Princess, embark on a thrilling journey filled with romance, rebellion, and the unbreakable quest for true love. Will Alira and Derrick find a way to bridge their worlds, or will their love be swept away by the tides of duty and destiny?

Abbie has never been what one would call a typical lady. Trying to keep up with England's rich and powerful is far too much work, and Abbie has never enjoyed the endless games of chasing acknowledgement form her peers. When she's engaged rather unwillingly to the wealthiest lord in London, she knows without a doubt it will be the worst thing she'll ever face. So what does she do? She runs. Finn has been roaming the seas as a pirate aboard The Iron Lady for ten years. Since the death of his father, he's been pirating to provide for his mother, sister, and her two children--all the while unbeknownst to them. While there have been a number of heists that have ended favorably, their poor condition has changed little. Finn wearies of life at sea, and begins thinking about leaving the business to return home to Ireland for good. When he kidnaps a businessman's teenage daughter, he is absolutely certain that the ransom payoff will be the one to end his career as a pirate. Abbie has always thought that pirates are uneducated, cruel, and just plain terrible company. Finn is certain that rich girls are snobby and selfish and is dreading spending any time with one aboard the ship. But when their journey together begins, they find that their expectations might be entirely incorrect. With the voyage of The Iron Lady spanning the globe from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, from the Iberian Peninsula to England, neither lady nor pirate will be able to resist the adventure--and romance--that will come along with it.

Adellia has grown up surrounded by rules and regulations. She's been prepped from birth to eventually reside in the throne that has been in her family for what feels like forever. Unfortunately, her destiny is quickly approaching. Her father is dead, and her mother has only a couple of months to live according to doctors. All eyes in the castle, and kingdom, turn to Adellia expecting her to step into her mother's shoes. However, both women aren't ready to give up their lives just yet. Wanting to learn more about her kingdom, and the people of it, before she is forced into an arranged marriage and the throne for the rest of her life, Adellia ventures out into the kingdom to do just that. While there, Adellia meets a young blacksmith by the name of Faron and gets sucked into a plot that goes against her, and her mother's wishes. Will she be able to venture into the unknown, and survive out of the watchful eye of the palace? This book has sexual reference and mentions of things that could possibly be triggering to some - e.g. young motherhood and loss of a parent. This work is usually split into two parts, but I have decided to take down the second part, and consider the first part, one book for now, so I can work on the second. When the second part/book has been finished, I'll decide whether I like it as one book or to reincorporate the rest of the book to make it one. Entered in the Wattys(2020)!
