Trust The Living: Inspired By Events In 'The Walking Dead'.

Takes place starting in season 1 of The Walking Dead. I do not own any characters from that series, only the characters that I have written into the existing story. This story takes subtle liberties with events and dialogue, adding in characters when needed.

Now about the story...

Emma Miller never thought much about surviving until she was forced to. When the world turned into one full of the undead, she realized she was stronger than she ever knew before. Up until now, she had been on her own in the apocalypse. Trusting people wasn't something she was good at before the world went under, and it was even harder now.

She had lost her sister, not being able to get in contact with her when the grid shut down. She had planned to try to find her but found herself stuck in the city of Atlanta.

When she decides it's worthwhile to settle with a group, it becomes a journey for her that she never expected. She's taken off guard by these people. They show her kindness in a world where it seemed to be forgotten. She becomes taken with one of the members of the group. Someone who also seems wary of trust and love.

What will the future hold for Emma? Can she trust the living? Can she find her sister? Can she find love with a member of this group? Read and find out...

Surviving Daryl Dixon by flowuz

In a world overrun by the undead, survival is the only law. Isabelle, a lost girl wandering the apocalypse, is found by Daryl Dixon, as she's passed out and surrounded by walkers. He saves her from being eaten, only to tell her to get lost once she wakes up. Yet, despite his harsh demeanor and insistence, they find themselves unable to part ways. Daryl's lethal skills and ruthless nature make him as dangerous as the Walkers; perhaps even more deadly. His dark, haunted eyes reveal little, and his words are a harsh mix of survival and regret. "I should've done it. I should've killed you," he mutters, torn between keeping her safe and pushing her away. Isabelle's persistence chips away at his defenses, but Daryl remains guarded. "Look, whatever it is you're holding on to; it's already gone, man. Wake the hell up," he snaps, trying to drive her away while staying close enough to protect her. His internal conflict is loud-he hates and loves her, wishing she were gone but unable to let her go. Despite his rough edges, Daryl's protective instincts emerge. "I don't know what I'm doing. But I'm trying really hard. I wish things were like how you want them to be. That's the way they should be. But they aren't. And I have to keep you safe. I'm gonna hold onto the gun for a while... till you want it. Or not. But either way, you're stuck with me." "Look, the world is just shit sometimes. And you live with it. Sometimes that's all you can do." In "Surviving Daryl Dixon," Isabelle must navigate a world of external threats and the complexities of a man who is as much a savior as he is a danger.

{A Daryl Dixon's daughter x Carl Grimes slowburn} Daryl was never considered someone that would have a chance living a well rounded live, destined to end up just like his brother and father, leaving him nowhere near the expectation of being a family man - let alone a father. It seemed as if the horrid Dixon curse would have been laid upon Daryl as well, until one 'unfortunate' event led to a spectacular outcome that changed the younger Dixon brothers fate for good, leaving him a single father - to a little girl he named Willow Rose Dixon. Daryl struggled against all odds, luck, and bad influences so close to him to try and provide for his little light in a world of darkness. An even bigger challenge presented itself when the dead rose from the clutches of death, making Daryl's already tough fight of being a good father even tougher. As Willow grows closer with a certain blue-eyed son of a sherif, Daryl will have to keep fighting against hoards of the undead, trying to keep his worst fears from coming true all while keeping his daughter safe and protected. Will Daryl be able to raise his daughter to survive in the new world or loose her - or himself - in the process? Find out in 'The Dixon Bloodline' ----- I hope you enjoy my book, if you do please Comment, Share, and Vote! BOOK ONE S1-S3 In this new world, you have to make difficult choices. Fight for survival or succumb to circumstance. Close yourself off or give into your desires. Start over or give up. A split second decision can change your entire life. Will she fight to survive or fight to live? Drisson /dree-sawn/ an unexpected twinge of attraction for a friend; a flutter of desire that seemingly came out of nowhere, but makes perfect sense in a twisted way that as fleeting as the moment was, you know it changes everything, leaving you in fear of what happens next --- This is my first story that I will be uploading. I'm going to stay true to the characters, but I will also be including some original ideas. The will be some changes to the storyline, whether that be minor or major. For the most part, I will stick to the plot line written by the creators of TWD. The first few chapters will be longer than the others. I wanted to be able to really make sure to give the characters their time. I do not own/have any rights to TWD or the characters, dialog, scenes, etc. *DarylDixon x OC ENJOY!!
