I feel someone looking at me, so I look around to see who it is. I stop and lock eyes with a man who has short brown hair, brown eyes and a square jaw.
I'm frozen in place and I can't stop staring at him. It looks like he can't look away either. I haven't seen him before. Maybe he's new in town...? Suddenly the air smells like... mint... and strawberries. A moment after, a beautiful blond haired woman walks up to him and links her arm with his.
"Ready?" she asks him. He's still looking at me and it's like time stands still for a moment.
"Huh?" he asks. "Ready to go? We got to get to the party tonight, remember?"

Our connection breaks and I can finally look away. What just happened? I felt a pull to him like I had to go to him. Slowly getting on my bike, I make my way home. I can't stop thinking about him. This is so weird.

Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse.
