26-Year-old Eva Martinezjust moved in with her father after the heartbreaking end to her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, a homicide detective in her local police force where death happens once in a blue moon.
On a rainy Washington state nighttime walk, she encounters the scene of a murder happening right in front of her.
She meets crimson eyes for a moment before her training kicks back into gear but within a blink, they vanish into the darkness. Days after the incident she begins noticing weird occurrences happening around her, more people are being found dead, all with the same MO.
What's even more eyebrow-raising is Eva begins to notice things of hers are disappearing, notes are being left for her, pictures of her are being mailed to her, and even worse she keeps waking up with bruises in various places.
As Eva attempts to follow the blood trail she meets a new face in the community, Dante, the Sequim Church of Mary's new Priest.
