She and Jimmy had been best friends for years. He had been there for every important moment in her life, and vice versa. They loved each other like a brother and sister. They lived together. Everyone thought they were together, and that if they weren't, they should be.

Everything was going fine until he was drafted. Even then, uprooting and going to Boston wasn't a problem. Moving halfway across the country wasn't a problem. Changing time zones wasn't a problem. None of this was a problem. The only problem was him.

Logan Ryan.

He was the kind of boy that you weren't too sure about. At first glance he was handsome, a bit brooding, and mysterious. As you got to know him, however, he became this sweet, caring, perfect young man. She was falling in love with him, but little did she know that someone was in love with her, too. But it wasn't her fault.

How could she have known that by falling in love with him, she'd have to choose between him and her friendship with Jimmy?

Finding relationships is easy... Keeping them is the real game. That's what I'm learning in my first one. It's not easy. Our rival schools are an hour apart, my best friend's turning secretive, my parents are controlling, and my brother's still an ass, gearing toward winning the state championship, and still doesn't like my boyfriend, Logan. I get it, they're rivals, and I kinda feel like Logan's team might be better but this season will decide. Being the star rival quarterback's girlfriend brings big rumors and big drama, especially when elements of our pasts resurface - his jaded ex whatevers, and the secrets I thought I'd buried and moved beyond. All of this while I just want to figure out where to go for college and what for. Some relationships will always stand the test of time and distance, while others crumble by the time the high school dust settles. I hope Logan and I are in the former because I'm falling hard for him. Really hard. Forever love hard. Story is ongoing with frequent updates. Please add it to your reading list! I Hate Football Players

61 parts Complete Mature

Football players are assholes. I know - my brother is their king. Older and annoyingly overprotective, he's the star quarterback at Santa Cruz High School. I love him, but everyone worships the air he breathes and it's suffocating. After a traumatic experience with a quarterback three years ago, I want nothing to do with boys and dating. All that matters is getting into college, so I ace my classes and sign up for my school's student ambassador program to boost my applications. Thankfully, I have my best friend, Harper, to get me through high school being overshadowed by my brother. My plans for a quiet, low-key senior year are destroyed when my brother's cocky, arrogant rival keeps butting into my life. Logan Hightower is a total player who expects me to drool at his feet while he uses me to burn my brother's game. If he thinks I'll fall for his gorgeous looks and shallow charms, he's totally mistaken. He'll never succeed because I hate football players.
