Punishing Virus, the sole reason for Humanity to go nearly extinct ever since its leakage from one of the most prestigious laboraties, are turning machines into mindless killing ones called the Corrupted. Most of them are like that but some learned to harness that power and got influenced by it's Kill All Life mindset. The latter formed a faction called Ascendants, members who used the power of the Punishing Virus in order to wipe out Humanity.

The remains of Humanity now resided in the pinnacle of human technology, the space station E-2 Babylonia and they fought back with the use of Constructs, humans converted into combat cyborgs with the task of reclaiming the Earth from its deadly plague.

Erljohn 'Earl' Lebosada, the sole survivor of his now destroyed country, the Philippines and also the last of his kind, the very aggressive but disciplined natural supersoldiers called the Maharlikan Berserkers.

Being the only Evolved one, his abilities way exceeds those of his countrymen and is completely immune to the virus. 

As he struggles to survive against the Corrupted which laid waste to his once proud country, he met a mysterious person wielding a katana and is seemingly have the power of the Punishing Virus.
