When Harry was only 19, he started experiencing memory loss. He talked to his girlfriend Emma about his symptoms and she suggested he went to the doctor, because she was starting nursing school she was worried about him. They told him that he had nothing to worry about and that teenagers could become forgetful when they are busy, and they prescribed him anxiety medication.
When Harry was 21, he started to have confusion about what day it is, he had a severe change in sleep patterns, and he had a tendency to wander or become lost. His girlfriend Emma noticed his symptoms getting worse and she suggested they go to the doctor together, because she was in nursing school and recognized some of his symptoms. They said that it was normal to feel forgetful and lost when you drink too much alcohol.
When Harry was 22, he needed help choosing proper clothes in comparison to the weather, he had repetitive behaviors, and he needed around the clock care from his girlfriend Emma. So she took him to a neurologist because she feared his symptoms were getting worse. They ran a few tests, and Harry had been almost immediately diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's.
The neurologist pointed out that many doctors would not expect someone as young as Harry to have Alzheimer's, making him the youngest person ever to get Alzheimer's.
Harry is now 28, and he is deteriorating fast. Now that Emma has graduated from nursing school, she is Harry's full time caregiver. She has been in love with Harry ever since they were 15, and she will love him forever. But at what cost?
