"Your seventeenth birthday will be on a blue moon. At the strike of midnight you will become one of us." Ivy as confused as she was asked the dark outline of the stranger, "What do you mean sir?" The stranger chuckled and replied, "Curious things happen to curious minds Ivy, didn't you listen to your parents's warnings?" He said strangely to Ivy. She looked at the dark silhouette again before he disappeared into thin air.
Ivy Evangeline is a 16 year old girl living on a remote farm in the middle of nowhere. She has no friends apart from the farm animals. The only bad thing about being an only child is that you have a curious mind. Ivy often finds herself wanting to explore the deep green forest at the back of her families farm. Even with her parents' warnings about the dangers that lie in the deep undergrowth, she decided to venture into the forest one day...
Untold secrets will be revealed, magical things happen and an ancient war is in store for Ivy.

Those at the top of this world are the ruling Fae, next are ruling humans, next Fae, free humans, protected slaves and then the banished ones. At least as a slave she has a chance at earning her freedom from a ruling Fae to pardon her. She is also something more which is discovered as she grows up but she must keep it hidden to protect herself. As she masters her skills, she, along with her friends, are given the opportunity to leave and earn her freedom. It's the first step in finding herself and her answers and perhaps it could change her life in ways she couldn't imagine when she was taking everyone's orders in the kitchen.
