"Awakening" is the first book of the Chronicles of Stone and Steel Trilogy.
This story has different POV characters and takes place in the world of Ilíerya. A long time ago some stones and swords of great power were made and each one was given to a different race in Ilíerya (Humans, Elves, Dwarves and a race called Nagha). Each stone had a different power and combined with the right sword they would make the owner almost invincible.
But the races grew greedy and they started to fight among themselves for the stones. A great battle took place between the races and most of the stones and swords were lost on that day. The races made a pact to stop the war and never fight for the stones ever again. But now some of those stones were found and the fight for the stones and swords continues between those that want to use them to conquer and those that want them to free.
