What happens when their childhood game becomes reality?

Meiko and Shae are best friends, and have been since they were young. That makes a lot of memories... and a lot of games. Specifically one they played over the course of 5 years. They always thought it was just a game, that they just had overactive imaginations. After elementary school, they forget about the game and go on with their lives.
15 years later, Meiko starts to see things and they confront Shae about it. Turns out, she's been seeing things too. Things they thought existed only in their imaginations and the stories Meiko writes. The two friends must uncover their pasts, find out who they truly are and face a destiny neither one wants to claim before the secret of their heritage destroys everything they ever knew.

Loading Game... Building Sceneries... Creating- romance? Parallel. It's a common word. You can probably hear your math teacher screaming that word in a kid's face, can't you? However, that won't be the case here. This is about parallel worlds. For Meredith and Lukas, they didn't find that out so quickly. Bullied and shunned for being the daughter of two famous and quite elite people, the students in Meredith Tanner's high school drove her off the cliff, resulting in therapy sessions once a week. Lukas James was in a different situation. He dropped out of high school (which disappointed his parents) and became a YouTuber, live-streaming games of generation A to Z. The two depressive teenagers didn't expect anything to change. She would continue therapy and never recover from the bullying and screeching suicidal thoughts, remaining as her high school's social outcast. He would continue to disappoint his parents by streaming on YouTube for attention instead of getting an education like his sisters. That's until a game changed their lives. "Parallel". The game was released, becoming #1 on the top gaming charts, which fancied both the teens' interests. Lukas was requested to play this game upon his subscribers. Meredith was requested to play this game in hopes of raising her socialization. However, something behind the game was unlike any level to pass- something dangerous. One game. That's what destiny was betting on. Two individuals. That's what destiny pitched in on. One unfortunate love story. That's what destiny never calculated. ~~~ "Love is a game, Lukas. You're barely making it past Level One! This isn't a labyrinth, stupid. It's a straight hall with different doors, and you keep opening those doors and refuse to walk forward." "I refuse to walk forward..." I repeated in a murmur, hanging my head low. She's right. I keep telling myself I can't go there; it's off limits. But I can see the end of the hall.

LUCAS MENDOZA

5 parts Ongoing Mature

Lucas and her friends grew up in an orphanage where life was nothing but a daily nightmare. Their only hope lay in the belief that, upon reaching adulthood, they could finally escape this hellish cycle. But one day, Lucas uncovers a horrifying truth: her friends are victims of atrocities, ones she herself will soon endure when the time comes. Realizing that they may never leave this cursed orphanage, Lucas tries to convince her friends to flee. However, paralyzed by fear and lacking faith in a better future outside, they refuse to follow her. Lucas then makes them a solemn promise: she will return to save them. Ten years later, Lucas returns, richer than anyone could ever imagine. She offers her friends, whom she considers family, a life they would never have dared to dream of. But in exchange, she makes them promise never to ask her about what she experienced after leaving the orphanage, nor about the source of her wealth. Just as everything finally seems behind them, the arrival of two strangers in Lucas's life reignites the dark secrets from the past, forcing Lucas and her friends to confront revelations that could forever alter their lives.
