She didn't think it would end like this, it couldn't. Not yet. "Hold on Kat, just hang in there, I'll save you!" Zai called out as she stood before the figure who held Zai's love in the air, tied up and bloody. Tears rolled down her cheeks and stung her face as she heard Katarin say her final words. "I'll see you in the afterglow, Z" she heard her say before she was sucked into the portal, forever gone. "No! No no no no no!" She screamed out before her killer. "Give her back. GIVE. HER. BACK!" She screamed before charging at the figure before her. She was ready to die.

It was true and Odi finally confirmed it for Sei. He didn't want to hurt those Immortals. The whole time he felt someone inside him screaming at him and telling him no. They prickled at the back of his mind each time his nail scratched a cheek or when his blade sunk into a body. The voice wanted him to stop. But at the same time, he felt his hunger for revenge became more placated, making him more unfeeling and unmoving in his resolve. "It's okay," Odi's words were full of sorrow. Sei placed a shaking hand on Odi's shoulder and prepared to make the final blow. As he brought back his hand Odi whispered, "Adasi will save you." For a brief moment like a butterfly's wing brushing against a flower's petal, Sei's eyes expressed shock and his hand clenched Odi's shoulder. For the first time, someone else's words had made him stop. But as quickly as it came Sei returned to his emotionless state. Only Odi saw this and only Odi would know that there was hope for the Sei to break from his nightmare.

PREVIEW: Sei watched the man intently grovel behind his red veil, hiding the wicked smile staring back. He tilted his head to the side. "Say it again." His voice was still as quiet as a whisper. The man stammered, "Say wh..what?" "My name." Clink...Sei took a step closer to the cowering man. The man looked behind himself as if there was any means of escape but it was hopeless. Behind him was only death, the dying cries crescendoing with each fleeting moment. Clink... He took another step. "Say it!" Sei took another and another. "SAY IT!" The words sounded twisted and deranged as if the monster from one's worst nightmare had finally come to life. The man fell to his knees and whimpered pathetically, "Crimson Warlock." Sei suddenly disappeared deep into the mist. The man shifted around scared not knowing where the Crimson Warlock went. A deep raspy laughter began subtly behind him, "That's it." Sei yanked the man back by his hair making their eyes meet finally. Secrets will be revealed and tragedy will befall Sei along the way, but can Zhil save Sei before his sanity cracks? SNEAK PEAK: Aliss's gray eyes glanced at the Devious Queen standing beside her and next to the one impaled before her. Aliss realized then that she had made a mistake. She had always been a cautious person, constantly reading the situations in front of her and thinking of countless possibilities and outcomes. Maybe it was because of her confidence or maybe it was because of Naisis's magic but she found herself caught within the Lich Queen's web of illusions. Suddenly the illusion of Naisis twisted into Zhil. The once-cursed black blood turned red. Zhil struggled to keep himself upright, pawing at Aliss's arm to let go of her weapons. Aliss's eyes widened in shock, immediately making her let go. His body crumbled to the ground, twitching violently as he clawed at his throat to stop the blood from flowing. Several seconds passed and the blood-soaked gargle stopped and Zhil's body lay motionless. "Now you've gone and killed your precious Majesty too. Shame on you."
The Five Cursed Witches: Volume 4 - Mirai, the Witch of Sight by High_Priestess_Elena
64 parts Ongoing Mature
Mirai comes from a long line of witches who have been particularly gifted in using their inner sight. As such, she's trained her sight from a young age. She's always been a disappointment, however, as the only thing she's ever been able to see is the vague image of a girl. On her 18th birthday, Mirai discovers a mark on the back of her neck displaying the number thirty. From her first proper vision, she deduces that unless she finds the girl before the number reaches zero, both of them will die. Only being able to depend on her less than mediocre skills in seeing the future, Mirai sets out to find the girl before the time is up. Little does she know of the trauma the girl has suffered, nor that finding her is only the beginning. ---------- Mature rating due to: smut, violence, suicide (happens in the prologue while POV-character has her back turned), rape (happens in chapter 30 and will be mentions of it afterwards, fade to black, there will NOT be a trigger warning at the beginning of the specific chapter), violent death of babies, some rather bloody scenes, self-harm, extreme guilt. Note that a major part of this story focus on healing from and learning to live with trauma, so though you could potentially read it but skip some specific parts, if you're not comfortable reading something that deals with the listed topics, then this book won't be for you. ---------- This series will contain the following volumes: Volume 1 - Zoe, the witch of innocence (completed) Volume 2 - Crimson, the witch of night (completed) Volume 3 - Morana, the witch of life (completed) Volume 4 - Mirai, the witch of sight (ongoing) Volume 5 - Danae, the witch of light Volume 6 - Rheseis, the faerie of love
She is Fatal to Death (Standalone Story) by writeraliciagonzalez

She's dead by the third chapter. Okay, it's a bit more complicated than that. Okay, it's A LOT more complicated than that. Renata wants nothing more than to pay her bills through her mildly boring office job and figure out whether she is still in love with her best friend. The latter half of that desire is just a sneak peak into her messy life-and it's only getting messier. Considering the paranormal world she is about to dive head first into, she will come to realize that figuring out her heart may just be the easiest part of this journey. Well, the endless supply of supernatural hotness in this story may beg to differ-but that's besides the point. Either way, it's gonna be a killer time ;) EXCERPT Chicken tacos it is. Right as Renata grabbed the ingredients, she turned to put them next to the stove, where a clean, plastic cutting board awaited. But as she moved, she was confronted by a stranger, an intruder, standing mere inches from her. Before she could scream, he was on her, slamming her against the fridge. Her back flashed with sharp pain. Her eyes pricked with fear as she drank in his uncovered face. Deeply tanned skin. Ruby red eyes-ruby red eyes? Thick, slashing eyebrows. Flat, broad nose. Buzzcut. Handsome. That was as far as she would go in complimenting him considering this guy held a knife to her throat. When he spoke, his voice came out like thunder. It held a thousand threats and a thousand secrets. It held promise of pain if provoked. "If you scream," he warned, mouth pulled in a slight snarl, "this ends quickly." She didn't dare nod against the blade. He noticed and amusement lit up for just a second in those devilish eyes. Oh, whoever the fuck this was, she already hated him. Considering her predicament, panic was the most prominent emotion coursing through her at the moment. "Good." He removed his hand "Now you're going to answer my questions." °°MATURE AND EXPLICIT CONTENT OF ALL KINDS, AND I MEAN ALL KINDS°

Before she can even recover from the shock, she's thrust into a war that she hadn't even known existed. Loyalties will be tested. She'll have to choose sides between all of the people she's come to care about. Will she stand with her family, her new friends, or the two boys who both hold a piece of her heart?
