Darker Than Blood

"What the fuck are you not telling us?" Mateo screamed in my face. I wanted to feel the usual anger course throughout my body but could not. He had a lot of nerve to scream at me after what he just witnessed. He paced up and down the small area in the dining room with his hands covering his eyes. I could hear him sucking in air as if he was trying to overfill his lungs and pass out before coming to terms with what he saw.

Havana had a sullen look on her face as she knew what was to come. Her love, dom, stared straight at her with a look of disbelief on his face. "Everything was a lie." he whispered. A single tear dropped out of the corner of his eye. "I'm sorry" was all she could muster.

We both knew. We knew that we could leave no witnesses. These men had ahold of our hearts and we were not about to let a tiny murder get in the way of that.
