"One year," she said, her voice sharp and unwavering, her British accent adding an icy precision to every word. "In this one year of marriage, I'll make your life a living hell. Every second will feel like torment, and you'll curse the day you agreed to this. By the end, you'll regret even knowing my name. You'll beg for a divorce." She slid the ring onto my finger with slow, deliberate movements, her steely gaze locked onto mine.
I let out a low chuckle, the corner of my mouth tugging upward. "My life's already a mess, Charlotte. Not sure what more you can do to top it. But go on, give it your best shot." My tone softened, laced with a hint of mischief. "Just try not to fall in love with me while you're at it, yeah?" I slid the ring onto her finger, my smile lingering-half challenge, half invitation.
"And Now," came the officiant's voice, breaking the tension like a knife through taut string, "you may kiss the bride."

He saw around the ward and noticed other pregnant women with their husbands, he felt a pang in his heart realizing how he treated his wife.
He entered the room and saw his unconscious wife, she looked pale and weak that's when he noticed she's become skinny after getting pregnant. Her jaw and collar bones are clearly visible to him but once, she was a cute and chubby little girl....but not anymore.
