"What did you just say?" He spat the words into the man's face.

My steps faltered and I'm not even the one he is mad at. God I would hate to be that guy right now-

The man starts to shake holding his hands up in an I surrender gesture. Presumably because Landon has pinned him against the wall with only one fist.

"I'm sorry man- I didn't know she was your girl- I swear I meant nothing by it" the man stuttered.

"Apologise" Landon got so close to his face.

"I'm sorry- I swear man-"

He was cut off by Landon's words so venomous my mouth dropped open.

"Not to me" he gritted out. "To her" his head angled towards me.

I laugh nervously "erm hey?"

Sailing with the grumpiest man alive is the worst thing I've ever done but god it feels so great.

Get the bloody hell out of my face and go ask Mrs. Tina for something" I say. I don't care if he appears to be offended. He better get his fatass out my face before I have to shove my foot up his ass for trying to steal my food. I don't play about my food. "But I want that" he says pointing at the thing in my hand. "I don't care, go get your own" I say pointing my fork at him. "If I can't get a piece, you won't have any." I look at him with wide eyes when he says this. I instantly get up, "Wait a minute. This is something we can discuss." It's pointless since he's chasing me around the couch. I leaped on the couch, causing him to jump on the opposite side. "It's mine, Ha-Alessandro. Why can't you acquire one of your own?" When he gets closer, I say and jump to the ottoman. "Because you make that one seems good," he continues, his gaze fixed on me. Are we still talking about the food? I don't know "You're a grown ass Mafia man chasing me down for a damn pie," I say as I leap onto the table. I'm hoping this crap is strong. Thalia only had one thing in mind and that was to escape one way or another. Life keeps throwing things at her, quite literally. She keeps handling everything while trying to keep a strong font. Book 2 of The Conquest Series It is not absolutely necessary to have Impulse first. While it can be read as a stand-alone, this book may confuse you at times, though I will try to fill in the gaps as I go along Carlton Smith had everything a man his age could want: looks, money, women falling at his feet. When he meets a younger, more innocent woman than he's used to, what will happen when he finds out that she is not only different from the others, but also one of his best friend's daughters? Excerpt: A devious smile played on Carl's lips as he watched the girl smile. "I'm Carlton, Kitten- but you can call me Daddy any time you like," Carlton said, his lips coming up close and personal to the girl's ear. "Hmmmph? Carlton Smith?" she asked, not letting his proximity get to her. "The very same- you've heard of me?" Carl pondered. "You could say that your reputation precedes you, Mr. Smith," the girl said. If it hadn't been for the fluttery tone of voice, Carl would have thought her invulnerable to his charms. He smirked a little bit at the fact he did indeed affect her. "And your name, Gorgeous?" Carl asked, stepping back to give the girl a little breathing room. "I don't know if I should tell you," she said with a frown. "Next, you'll be asking for my number and I have no intention of giving that out to you." Carl was astonished and he let it show in his face for a moment. "And why is that?" "When I say your reputation precedes you, I meant your reputation as a womanizing, egotistical pussyhound that drops his pants for anything with a vagina." The crass language that slipped from her mouth made Carl even more eager to bring the girl to her knees.
