It's 1985 and Ariadne (the troublemaker) has been through 12 schools, only 2 of which, she left with no risk of expulsion. Her next school: Blake View High is attended by her two friends Zoey and Eva, so she feels that this one might be better, an opportunity for her to turn over a new leaf. Ariadne is trying her best to not break any rules but distracting her is a boy that sits opposite her He always stares at her, and she doesn't exactly hate his glance.
Eventually becomes good friends with this boy, who she later discovers is named is Luke, and his crazy best friend David. Together they learn more about each other, secrets, hobbies, and feelings about one another.
