A (adopted) Father's Love | CH | Ships you may not like!
This is my first countryhumans story so it's not that good. East Germany knows he shouldn't be alive, yet here he is, living with the man who raised him. He never really questioned it though. He was just happy to be alive. That is until his adopted father starts struggling to heal himself as quickly as he used to and East starts to worry. The entire world that he lives in is beginning to unravel and East learns things he never could have imagined. There's also a lot of stuff about Russia in this and I don't know why. He's not even supposed to be a major character but I have like 7 chapter dedicated to him.
The Life Of A German Soldier
(Still correcting for errors!) The German soldier goes through many things during his time at war, love, horror, and fear. But every soldier of any side knows that there's only one way out. He'll have to survive the new technologies of warfare. A soldier's greatest strength is bravery and moral that grows and lives in the soul. Soldiers test their strength in battle, the strong ones die as the weak ones run. War is an experience that is limited. We all don't know what it's really like. When you look at a soldier that has been at war, you can see it, its written on their faces and engraved in their eyes. A World War Two fiction story about a young man named Albert Schroeder, a twenty one year old German soldier of the Wehrmacht, has been sent to Western Russia to fight the Soviet Union in the summer of June 1944. In military training in Northern Germany, he meets another soldier named Kurt Smith. Kurt has been his friend since military training until his death in a battle against the Soviets during the early night. After Kurt's death, Albert faces many problems with another death of one of Kurt's friends from high school, Ralph Schäfer that he had just met. Albert will then be taken to a place many soldiers of his kind have gone before, a Russian P.O.W camp and might stay there for most of the war until it is over or will Albert try to escape during the night and go on a huge journey back to Germany? Beneath the Same Sky (WW2 Novel)
[Book 1] 1939 marks the beginning of a tumultuous time in light of the outbreak of war in 20th century Europe. A new world order is forming in Germany under Nazi Rule as the Reich grows in the wake of its expansion. 24 year old Erika Müller has worked at her family bakery in Freiburg for as long as she can remember. As war breaks out, she is thrust into a perilous world unlike anything she has ever known. 25 year old Wilhelm Bauer is sent away to the front to fight for the Fatherland while he is plagued by nightmares of his past back in Berlin. The story follows the young couple as they navigate their path in a collapsing world which will question everything they have ever known, with dark secrets, heartbreaking sacrifices, and relentless trials at every turn. "Under the same sky they fell in love. In the shadow of war they were tested. Under the quiet stars they must decide what remains." Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. The plot as well as names or characters are fictitious. As it is still historical fiction, the places and major events (ie. bombing, invasion) are real and have occurred.Complete

When war erupted across Europe in 1939, sixteen year old Katherine Montague had known what she wanted to do - what she had to do. Now, five years later and a trained nurse in the British army, she finds herself thrust into the thick of that same war. Something that will plunge her into a completely new war - one she'd never intended to fight, but has no intention of losing. The war for William Hughes' heart. Book Of Ruth
"Bitterness is unbecoming of a woman, but I cherish mine like the memory of first love. I see nothing in Leon Wagner, but an automaton. He is a machine of the Third Reich. I am surprised he even bleeds." In the summer of 1945, the world rejoices at the surrender of first Germany then Japan, but healing is a long time coming. Though they are not visible, Ruth Tucker's wounds run deep. Having worked as a nurse for the American Red Cross since the invasion of Normandy, Ruth's hatred for her country's former enemy runs deep. While stationed in Zell am See, Austria, she is assigned to nurse in a German POW camp. She meets a young Wehrmacht soldier, Leon Wagner, who speaks English and strives to spark a friendship with her. But Ruth's bitterness is almost too strong. All she sees in Leon is a heartless machine. Slowly, through a shared love of books and their families, she begins to recognize his humanity and starts to feel her own stir in her heart, something she thought long deadened by the months of violence.Complete
