"A tall, young man appeared behind the trunk of the old oaktree in our front garden. When he came over and extended my hand he had the unmistakably elegant movements of a wild cat. His hair was pearly white and as he came closer I recognised the different shade of his eyes: chestnut brown and steel blue. His grip was firm and dry. "My name is Gellert Grindelwald. And you must be Albus Dumbledore."

This is the story of the two months in which Dumbledore and Grindelwald got to know each other, made plans to rule the world and fell in love with each other. 

It's highly researched to fit characters and dates. This is what could have actually happened based on all hints of HP7 (Dumbledore and Harry speaking) and "Phantastic Beasts".

I do not own any of the characters or backstories. They are based on the work of J.K. Rowling in the Harry Potter Books and the movie series of Phantasric Beasts and where to find them. 

This is my first story ever to be published. English is also not my mother tongue. I hope you like it anyways.

Gellert Grindelwald. Albus Dumbledore had wished to never hear that name again. The name of someone he had once loved - and still did. Grindelwald is back - out of prison and willing to start a war to make his dream come true - the dream of a 'greater world'. He only needs one person to make that dream come true. And that person is currently on their way to Paris. This is how I imagined and wished the Crimes of Grindelwald to be (major events and plot points are heavily different from the new movie, so there will probably be NO SPOILERS. I wrote this a few months ago, even before the trailers came out). Everybody has their own struggle to choose a side. People whose lives are completely different, but they all are part of a huge puzzle. One of these people is the second darkest wizard in history and another is the only person who was able to stop him. It is also about heartbreak and falling in and out of love. A story about pride and a dream that turned into a nightmare.

Secrets will unfold and confessions will occur which will lead to the fate of the wizarding world. Who, if anyone, will have a happy ending? Chapter 56: 1964, What happened after the battle and where did it leave our beloved Albus Dumbledore? What will occur at his school next I wonder... Chapters 57-58: 1981, Albus is struggling with secrets he can't tell anyone but cannot keep bottled up inside him any longer. Who can he trust to not tell anyone? Answer, Gellert Grindelwald who is locked up in Nurmengard for life after his battle with Albus but accepts his fate as in the end he has remorse Chapters 59-61: 1992-1996, Albus' yearly presents and visits to Grindelwald as a way to keep his ex-lover going in his isolating cell. They discuss what is happening outside the walls as well as things they never thought to discuss when they were together. At the moment, Scorpius and Leo where on summer break, while Alya was was assigned a project. A Project to write a story. She chooses to write about her beloved parents's love story. Of course when she hands in her story to her techer she will change the names of her parents in the story and call it "fiction". Leo overheard his sister ask their mum to tell her some cheesy love story. Not wanting to hear the story their mother was telling, Scorpius and Leo try to ignore it. But fail. They give in and listen to the story as it gets more and more intriguing to them. Hermione and Draco's story takes place at Hogwarts, where it ALL began. A few old friends drop by for a visit. As well as an ex lover. (A/N - Some things are different from this story than in Harry Potter. For example, Albus Potter is older than James Potter in this book. Plus some people are alive who are supposed to be dead in the original. )
