Four months after the devastating events of the invasion of New York, Loki returns to Midgard stating that he was sent to repent for his crimes by helping fight the Avengers' wars. They are sceptical at first, but eventually agree to take him in for as long as Asgard deems it necessary.
However, they soon start to realise that something seems off about their new teammate. Why is he suddenly so docile and quiet?
Stuff gets uncovered and things go south like they always do when there's a chance for them to. It appears Loki isn't and was never the man they made him out to be.
But can the God of Lies be believed?

King Loki of Midgard! Son of Laufey, who is the King of Jotunheim! Adopted son of Odin, who is the King of Asgard! Loki surely doesn't get his experience in ruling from those two dads. But SHE is there now and Loki has to deal with the emotional rollercoaster within himself. He only blamed himself for her ability to shadow the truth with lies that everyone falls for. He was quite impressed as well. Is he even ready for the love that comes with a Midgardian? But how could he get through this without her? After all, she was the only reason he became King in the first place. But isn't life much simpler when your blaming failures on a Midgardian? What about her? She possessed powers. Powers that no typical Earth human had. How could she come across such powers? Well, a small event with the Avengers led Loki to run right to her small home town. What was so significant about that? I took his hands in mine frantically, causing his eyes to meet mine. "Then hand over the Tesseract and come home, Loki. Please." "I can't." He pulled away. "If I'm not allowed rule on Asgard, then I'll rule here." My eyebrows knitted together in desperation. "Loki, pleas-" My plea was cut shot as a burst of energy and the distinctive clang of metal on metal pushed me over into the god of mischief. We stumbled backwards until I laid on his chest and he grunted from the sudden impact. "Thor." I cursed under my breath. "Sorry..." I began lifting myself off of his body. I narrowed my gaze and quickly stood to rush into Thor's aid, ignoring his dejected expression. I was about to leap off the cliff side when I heard four words that had me frozen in my place unlike anything my powers could do. "I still love you." ___________________________________________ (Y/N) Ísveig thought she'd made peace with Loki's death. She couldn't bring herself to forgive him for everything he had done, obviously, but she was finally beginning to live the life she always wanted. She was no longer deemed future queen of Asgard, and she was slowly learning to control her amplified ice powers. Falling Wind gushes past me as I tumble through the void. Stars blur together in the never ending dark, and I can't help but feel cold. And it's not the kind of cold that fades with warmth. The cold water dripped inside on my cell, as the droplets hit my bare back, I could only shudder from the feel. I knew he would be back any given minute. He had another PR meeting with his team, Captain America, what a joke. If only they really knew who he was. A monster that Hydra cooked up. I could hear the other man groaning, they had started pumping him with more super soldier serum to keep him alive, but his body was rejecting it. Whenever I was able to, I would sneak off to the corner of my cell and talk to him, he would never respond, but I had a feeling it comforted him knowing I was here for him. Like I had a choice. Where could I go? I couldn't remember who I was, not strong enough to fight off Steve, or smart enough to get myself out. I heard the heavy door to my cell room creak open, heavy footsteps walked in, stopping right in front of me. "Wow, I had a really long day! All I need to do is unwind with my little Sarah."
