Kokichi always had some sort of injury. Whether it be a couple of bruises on his arms, legs, or face, or a few bandages for a couple of cuts, he always had Some injury. Kaito never questioned it, and neither did anyone else. Kokichi was a reckless, and a playful kid who enjoyed being a piece of shit, so obviously he would have a few bruises every now and again.

Sometime later, while adjusting to his new life, Shuichi came across a missing person poster and realized that Kokichi was the one who was missing. The police were unable to find him and Shuichi knew that Kokichi was in danger. He decided to work with Kirigiri as a detective to find Kokichi and ensure his safety. The question remained - could Shuichi solve the mystery of Kokichi's disappearance and find him alive? As he stalked his beloved around Shuichi see kokichi get pushed, punched and thrown around multiple times in a day by Kaito and Rantaro, Shuichi decides to take matters into his own hands to protect his beloved from anything that hurts him or comes in the way of him and his beloved. (First book of the trilogy) Kokichi, a kind, extroverted boy, moved out to a new city and dropped out in a new school: Spring Field Academy, he quickly made friends here and became one of the popular students, but soon after a few weeks, he notices that one of his classmates is left out from everybody else. Kokichi never saw that boy speak to anyone, neither did he hear him talk in the first place, so of course he decided to try and befriend this lonely boy. This is a non-stereotypical pregame Saiouma story where there is no stalker-ish creepy Shuichi or uwu boy Kokichi, just their ingame personalities with a few changes here and there, I hope you will like this fluff story, there may be some angst here and there or other things, but I'll just put warnings in chapters for people uncomfortable with it :D contains: angst violence smut (the smut part will be separated from other chapters so that people that don't wanna read it would be able to skip it) aaand a lil bit of hidden lore you could try finding out with some clues, I know that there will be detective readers hungry for some lore 🔍 but you still have to find what could be related to a hidden lore 🤭 I could maybe, just maybe give you some hints! enjoy the fanfic!
