In an elite academy raising knights, chosen young boys are given tasks to help the Headmaster dispose of rebel soldiers.

Nathaniel E. Rottings is descended from a line of knights and unliked by his peers for his high status, he doesn't look for friendship, although he has met his match with his sparring partner.

Clive is more than the Apollo of the school and every girl's dream--he is also Nathan's lover, and the two must keep that secret. While he seems perfect he has a dark past and is strangely familiar with killing.

When the deaths become too big of a trauma, Nathan's belief falters and only Clive can save him. But that's only if he wants to.
